"Elementry school - need help!"

   Hi,
Im a canadian citizen and I have sent my application to sponsor my wife for permanant residency in Canada.
She is still residing in Venezuela, her native country, and with her 11 year old son.
It is possible as a spouse to apply as a permanent resident within Canada while granted stay on a tourist visa, but would her son be denied to attend public school in NB,Canada while her application is being processed?
If so, is there another type of visa that would grant him to attend school to avoid starting the next school year in Venezuela only to only to loose some time to transfer to Canada.

thank you!

Unfortunately, your wife's son would not be eligible to attend school in Canada if they were to come as visitors. They will have to wait for the processing of their permanent residence application to be completed.
