"2nd set of proposed regulation published"

Second set of proposed Immigration regulations have been published in the gazette today 03/09/2002. This can be viewed at http://canada.gc.ca/gazette/hompar1-2_e.html under “Saturday, March 9, 2002; Vol. 136, No. 10” section

There is notification about this on the CIC web site http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/press/02/0203-pre.html that states the following
“The Minister recently announced plans to amend the transition regulations proposed in December to allow more skilled workers to be assessed under the current selection grid until January 1, 2003.”
However on carefully going though the second set I did not see anything with respect to the transition regulation that talks about the “current selection grid until January 1, 2003”.

Can someone please clarify this.
Thanks,

The Minister announced that his intention is to extend the assessment of cases submitted prior to December 15th informally. This means that this has not yet been published as part of the Regulations. It is expected that this will be included in the final Regulations which should be published in the upcoming weeks.
