rgu 27-Oct-00, 06:25 PM (GMT) "Immigration for spouse" Hi Thanks for this excellent site the fiance of my sister is a Canadian PR after they get married, how long would it take for her to join her husband (i.e get her PR), Can her fiance apply for her PR before getting married also, During the time it takes to process the her PR , can she join her on some other visa , if yes, what kind ??? "RE: Immigration for spouse" The duration of the process of a spousal sponsorship will depend largely on the location at which processing of the application will be concluded. This may range from 6 to 18 months depending on the visa office. If your sister can obtain admission to Canada as a visitor, she would be able to join her husband in Canada during the processing of the application.
