"Skilled Worker's Visa and Fiancee/Spouse"
I am considering applying for Permanent Residency under Skilled Workers Category. I currently work legally in the US and my fiancee lives in Pakistan. If I were successful, how long would it take to get her In Canada on Permanent Residency.Would it affect the processing time for her if I marry her during or after my Immigration Process. Is it true that if I apply on Skilled Workers category then my fiancee or Spouse will also become eligible for Permanent Residency the same day I get Permanent Residency?

Thanks

Amt

The duration of the process for inclusion of your fiancee would depend largely on the timing. If you marry prior to, or shortly after, the conclusion of your permanent resident application, it would be possible to request that she be amended to your application at that time. In this case, she would receive landing documents at the same time as yourself.

If you sponsor your fiancee after your landing, however, it would be necessary to process a separate sponsorship application. In that case, it could take as much as 18 months to conclude a sponsorship overseas.
