"immigrant visa"

I would like to know what is the minimum number of months of waiting for an immigrant visa. Will it take longer time to process my papers if i dont course it through an agency?

I would also want to know if i have a pending petition in the US, will there be no problem if i apply as immigrant in Canada? I asked this question because my US immigrant visa is taking too long that is why i would like to know if it also take years to wait for a Canadian immigrant visa.

I have just finished my second masteral degree which is MS in Finance, my first one was MS Applied Math major in Actuarial Science. I am currently working as a Senior Actuarial Researcher in a social insurance company. Please advise me of my chances of getting a job in Canada prior to my going there as an immigrant. I do not have any relative living in Canada and i think it would not be easy if i go there without employment. Will it not be hard to find places to rent if ever my immigrant visa is approved?

First, in order to determine if you would qualify for immigration to Canada, we would recommend that you conduct a detailed assessment of your work and education history. Your other questions can be addressed once you have verified that you will qualify for immigration under the Skilled Worker category.
