"Waiting Time For Interview Notification"
 
   Hi. I'm a veterinarian and I have applied for immigration to Quebec through Quebec Embassy in Damescus ,Syria on 17 September 2001.The officer at the Embassy in Syria said me that I should wait to receive my interview notification letter after six months,but I know people who have applied for immig. to Quebec at the same embassy, waiting now for more than one year.I will be very grateful if you inform me: in your experience ,and considering new security measures, which have slowed the immigration process(especially at canadian embassy in Damascus),how much time should i wait to receive my interview notification.(I am aware that the people applying for FEDERAL immig. thrpough canadian embassy in Syria should wait for a longer time, about three years.)I thank you in advance and look forward to your prompt answer by return.

   In our experience the waiting time to receive an interview-notification from the Quebec-Delegation in Damascus, Syria is approximately 4-6 months.

If you are aware of anyone that has been awaiting longer than 4-6 months for the interview-notification from the Quebec-Delegation, then a status-inquirery may be in order, depending upon the circumstances of their application.
