"Waiting Time For Interview Notification"
 
   Hi.I am an Iranian veterinarian and I have applied for immigration to Quebec under the skilled worker category,through Quebec Embassy in Damascus,syria,on September 17,2001.The officer of the Embassy,said me that I shoud wait the interview notification letter after six months.But I know people waiting more than one year for that letter. In your experience and considering new security measures which have slowed the immig. process,how long should I wait to receive the notification letter for interview?(I am aware that the applicants for FEDERAL immigration through Embassy in Damescus should wait more than three years).I thank you in advance and look forward to your prompt answer.

In our experience the waiting time to receive an interview-notification from the Quebec-Delegation in Damascus, Syria is aproximately 4-6 months.

If you are aware of anyone that has been awaiting longer than 4-6 months for the interview-notification from the Quebec-Delegation, then a status-inquirery may be in order, depending upon the cirumstances of their application.
