"Visa"

   Dear Mr. Cohen,

I have submitted my application papers on February 2001 here in Manila. Last October 2001, the Canadian Embassy told me that an interview will not be necesary but i have to take the medical exam, submit a certified true copy of my brother's landing papers in Canada and pay the corresponding landing fee. I have accomplished all their requirements since November of 2001. My question is, how long after submitting all their requirements will i receive my landing papers? Assuming that the Cananadian Embassy here won't be asking for other requirements.

If your interview was waived (or in cases in which an interview is required, once an interview is actually completed) then the Canadian Embassy in Manila subsequently spends aproximately 6-12 months conducting a security/background verification of the applicant. Once that has been successfully completed, the landing documents will usually be issued to you.
