"Do I qualify and when should I start"
hi
I am B.Sc (three year) from india (subjects studied - Physics, chemistry and maths) and I have a two year diploma in systems management (computers ),
I have around 6 years of software programming experience including web development ,
I am working in US now,
Do you think I qualify for immigration in canada and where should I apply for it, and approx how much time it will take for me to get it (I guess I should apply from here US only )

My wife is a also a postgraduate in computers with some experience in the field, if that is any help

The duration of the diplomas that you have earned, and the specifics of the duties that you have performed will be important factors in the determination of your eligibility as a skilled worker applicant. I would recommend that you complete a free online assessment for yourself and your spouse to accurately determine your eligibility.

The timing of your application will depend largely on when you hope to relocate to Canada. In the USA, the application process will most likely require approximately 5-6 months if an interview can be avoided. If an interview is required, which can happen in even the best of cases, the process will likely require approximately 10-12 months.Applicants have one year from the completion of medical examinations to land in Canada. This typically allows a duration of approximately 6-9 months, from the time of issuance of landing documents, within which the individual is required to land as a permanent resident. There is no minimum time prior to which such an individual may subsequently depart Canada.
