"Where should I apply?"
 
   Hello,
My name is Cristian and I am Romanian citizen. Currently I am studying int the US where I am getting my MBA degree. I want to apply as an independent immigrant to Canada and I was wondering if you can give me some advice regarding where can I apply. I will be in the US for at least the next one - one and a half years so I was wondering if I can apply to the Buffalo office or is it mandatory to apply to the Romanian one? Also, when submitting the "Visa Office Specific Application" should I submit the one for Buffalo or the one for Bucharest, since they are different?
Thank you very much and I appreciate your answers and any additional information on this matter.

In our experience, the current processing time for the Canadian Consulate in Buffalo, NY, is 10 to 18 months. This is the Consulate that has been assigned the jurisdiction of processing applications for Canadian Permanent Residency, for applicants living within the U.S.A. region.

A more detailed analysis of the particulars of your case would be necessary, however, for us to recommend ideal processing centers to which your application can be submitted.
