"Police Clearance"

   Hello There,

I have a out of turn problem. We tried to get police certificate. The fingerprints were rejected 3 times by the FBI as saying the fingerprints were not readable and sent back. In the third try they sent us a letter saying "It is our understanding that Canadian authorities may allow alternate measures in cases where legible fingerprint impressions are difficult to obtain. We suggest you contact the office handling your residency applications for clarification." My question is what should I do now. Is there anybody who has faced such a problem.

Please help.

Regards,

Ganesh

You should contact the visa office which is processing your case, and advise them of the situation. If you are able to provide them with the documentation from the past three attempts, that would be helpful.

The visa office may agree to allow you to conduct a clearance based on name search alone, or may recommend another alternative.
