"How long after the interview"
 
   Hello,
I have applied for the family class under the pilot project on 9th of May. I had a problem with my medical as the DPM didnot sign on one of the papers and the file was transferred to the Delhi office. After that i got a letter from the embassy stating that i have to go for an interview on the 8th of November. Its been 9 months that i am away from my husband and i want to be with him at the earliest. I wanted to know how long does it take for the Landing papers to come after the interview. And also are they changing the system to Smart Card insteed of the landing papers. Will it affect the time frame.

   In New Delhi, our experience has been that issuance of landing documents takes approximately 5 to 7 months, on average, after completion of the medical examinations. It is not likely that the implementation of the new Permanent Resident cards will have any impact on this .
