"Processing time"
| |
I am a recent graduate with about 5 months of experience after graduation. Because the processing time in NY Buffalo takes 5-18 months, I was wondering if I can submit the application for a Canadian resident status within the next 2 months (without a full 1 year of experience), and by the time I have an interview at a Canadian consulate in the US, I will have accumulated 1 year of experience. Please let me know if that is possible, or if it would have any negative effects. When (how soon) should one submit the application in general (in terms of education and work experience)? Also, when do you anticipate the proposed bill C-11, which changes the criteria for Independent skilled worker category, to take effect? Does the proposed new bill have a minimum work experience requirement? Have they set up the passing mark yet? |
