"If Landing disallowed"

I heard from someone, (may be it is a rumor), that after the tragic incident of Sept 11. People from Pakistan are not been allowed entry (at airport) in USA despite one hold valid visit visa. My interview is expected any moment in USA, what if my family is not allowed to enter USA. Is there any thing we can do in advance to avoid such situation?

I hope this is totally baseless information.

We are not able to advise you on matters relating to immigration policies. I am not aware, however, of any fixed rule such as that which you state.

If you are unable to attend a selection interview in the USA, you may request a postponement or a transfer. Requesting a postponement would assume that you will be able to attend in the future, as you risk refusal if you fail to attend that interview.

If you transfer the application, you may do so to a visa office at which you can attend the interview. You will incur substantial delays as a result, as the application will re-start processing from the beginning at the new office.
