I m also one of the applicant. The current period for interview scheduling at Detroit is about 7 - 10 months from the date of file transfer. If you add 7 months + 60 days prior notice for interview, you will come to know the expected date of interview. I think you have done your medical a bit early because it is only valid for 1 year. It mean that u will have a short time to land in order to avoid the expiry of your medical.
Your other question, NO it will have any -ve effect on your interview if you have done the medical.

Presently following is the expected time frame for USA (Buffalo). if interview is not waived:

AOR after application 3-4 months
1st letter stating interview is required 3 months
2nd letter about file transfer 2.5 months
Interview scheduling 7 -10 months
LP 3- 5 months.
Approx. 20 - 22 months.

I suggest have patience.

Regards

Having completed the medical examinations at such an early date will not have a negative effect on your application, per se, but it will mean that landing documents will be valid for a shorter duration after issuance (i.e., one year from the date of completion of the examinations).

Current backlogs for interviews in Detroit are approximately 12-14 months.
