"Incorrect date on employer letter"

   Dear Mr. Cohen,
I am a therapist by profession and applied for Canadian immigation in december 2000. Alongwith my application, I sent a letter from my previous employer, where I had done two-year on-the-job training, had incorrect date on it. The course began in june-1997 and ended june-1999. The duration of course was correct, but, at the top of the letter, it was incorrectly dated june-1997 (the date when course started instead of when it ended).
I got corrected certificate and the letter from my previous employer for quite sometime but have not been able to decide if I should send it now or have it ready during interview. My file is in Colombo.
I would greatly appreciate your valuable advice.

In the matter of the correction of dates on documents that have already been submitted to the Canadian Government, we recommend that correction letters be promptly sent, and that copies of the correction letters also be brought to the interview.

Any correspondence sent to the processing centers should contain the applicant's file number. And, ideally, such correspondence should be sent by a traceable mail service, such as a courier service.

If your file number has been issued, submission of the corrected letter with an explanation of the issue may be beneficial.

Thank you Dr. Cohen for your advice.
I also want to know if this type of error can adversly affect or become basis of cancellation of my application for Immigration?
I received my file number last week.
Thanks for you reply in advance.
