"applying for PR from within Canada - help....please"
My wife is a Canadian. We got married in Canada three years ago and right after lived abroad. We arrived recently in Quebec, Canada. I have a visitor visa for six months. We plan to make an inland PR application. My questions are:

1. what would be the 'sufficient humanitarian and compassionate grounds' for the immigration to approve my inland PR application?

2. does my wife need to meet the financial requirements set by the Province of Quebec (MRCI)? considering that my wife did not work abroad for the past 12 months, and just landed a job here in Canada, what '12-month financial records' can she show?

3. what impact does being "PREGNANT" mean?

I would greatly appreciate for any efforts that would enlighten my questions above. Thank you very much and more power to your firm.

To be eligible to process a sponsorship applicaton inland, that is entirely within Canada, the applicant and must demonstrate that sufficient Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds exist to allow for such. If that cannot be demonstrated to the satisfaction of an immigration official, the application must conclude processing at a visa office outside of Canada.

A spousal relationship would typically constitute sufficient grounds to allow for inland sponsorship. The fact that your spouse is pregnant would further benefit such a claim.

In the case of a spousal sponsorship, it is often possible for the Canadian spouse to be deemed eligible as a sponsor in the absence of sufficient Canadian income, except in the case that (s)he is on social assistance.
