Hi,

My daughter is about to apply for an extension of her study permit after 2 years of stay in Canada as an Int student. As I have known from other threads that if she applies within Canada, she will not get a multiple entry visa.

Please advise, if we can apply from our original location, outside Canada, while our daughter is still in Canada as she still has got three months validity period. Is it OK if we apply on her behalf and get the passport by courier etc.? Our country allows to receive or send passports via courier.

Your input will be highly appreciated.

1.  You are confusing apples and oranges.  Her extension of the study permit and the TRV are two different things.
2.  She should apply for an extension of her study permit to Vegreville, and once she has received it, she than can apply for a TRV at one of the Canadian offices in the US by mail.
3.  If you try to obtain a new TRV for her, it will just complicate matters.
