Dates & Drag and Drop colums

It says that all fields which are not applicable to you should be marked N/A.
How can you mark N/A for a date. It only accepts number in my adobe reader?
Shall I print the form and fill the field with ink as N/A - as the acrobate reader will not allow me to type in the alphabets.
And also the Drag and drop colums - which have certain items to be selected. I cannot type in N/A. Please advice
And the very small boxes ...where you need to have tick mark only.
Thanks

I know this is a bit silly. But also they mention not to leave any field blank.
Can anybody please advise on the above.
Thank you

You put N/A (not applicable) in the spaces.
