How is it possible?  I sent my application to Mississauga in February.

Under sponsorship application, it says:

We received your application to sponsor XXX on April 11, 2011.

But under permanent residence application, it says:

We received XXX application for permanent residence on March 31, 2011.

Should I ignore it as it might be a glitch in the system?

The application is mainly about the immigrant, from the moment they really start to process, they have a look at who the sponsor is. (That's when you also get a Client ID#.) This is why the sponsor's "reception" date is different from the applicant's reception date. (At least, as far as I know.)

Yes, I know that.  But it is impossible that the permanent residence application was received at the visa office BEFORE the sponsorship application was received in Mississauga.

If you search e-cas on this forum, you'll find a lot of posts where people talk about e-cas being unreliable.
That said, I agree with you, those dates seem strange and possibly someone entered things wrong. I would just ignore it if I were you. Maybe check back in a couple of weeks, someone may update your e-cas at some point.
