In the application package, wherever there's requirements for sponsor and/or principal applicants signatures, should the date be right before we send out the application?

If I were to send the application out tomorrow, for example, should it be dated 9-18-2011?

The date you are signing. You can sign tomorrow and put tomorrows signature. Doesn't make any difference.

Wilson we were wondering about that before we sent our app.! There is no issue... we sent our application end of May and some of our signatures were date end of April! because we started filling the forms slowly over a long period.. i would like to think the visa office will understand that! Cheers

No issue at all. The date of receiving the application at CIC  - Say AOR - is to be considered.

Put the date you actually signed whatever document. If they are not all the same date, that's OK. What is not OK is if you arbitrarily choose some date, and the VO then notices that you couldn't have signed at that time for whatever reason.
