Hi Nagz2207, No we have not done the another medical, my husband went there in person and they told him that he did not need to make a new one. His medical report expired Jan 27.  :)Thanks for answering tax question, I did remember the tax question on the questionnaire but I could not remember if they wanted it or not.  thanks!!! |

Hi guys,
Just wanted to update everyone that my wife FINALLY got her notificiation!!!! She has to go to Damascus soon and she will be given her visa!
Its been 9 months from the beginning, 8 months in Damascus but its finally done.
I wish you all the best and a speedy reunion with your spouses!

She went to the embassy in Lebanon to give them her passport but they told her that it could take between 4-9 weeks for her to get it back!!!  So she's decided to go with my parents there this monday. Inshallah they give her the passport back on the same day (does anyone know if that happens or if she needs to return the next day???) |

wowo 4 weeks that's insane??? Why 4 weeks? Maybe they need to send it to syria then back to lebanon but still why 4 weeks?

Well guys, I got an answer from my MP and this is the information Syria sent to him...... Case Processing Centre in Mississauga and the departmental standard for processing spouse cases is twelve (12) months from submission of the sponsorship to visa issuance. Spouses have the highest processing priority and the application is in the queue for review by the responsible officer. Current processing time in Damascus is nine (9) months from receipt of the approved sponsorship. The application will be reviewed in May 2011. I guess I have a long way to go still...  |
