I really hope you all get your PPR soon inshallah !! It is a long wait but when the time comes wow.. so many feelings you can't explain :-)
My husband is leaving for Syria in less than 2 hours so he can arrive in Syria to the VO before 8am to give in his passport insha'Allah !
He is going to try and tell them that he has no one in Syria and he has travelled all the way from lebanon and as the situation is not very safe if it is possible for him to get it the same day if they say no he will ask them for a hotel near lol hope that works !!!
Coolamir when are you going to get your visa isa ?

Sent apps to Mississauga : July 2010
Received and processed in Damascus: August 10, 2010
Requested Docs : Sept 6, 2010
Requested Renew medical and police certificate : September 26, 2011
Requested Passport for Visa : November 13, 2011

Hi Guys,
I just got an email from embassy and they REQUESTED MY WIFE'S PASSPORT, YEEEEEEEEEEEE
Finally, we got to the final stage!!!! They asked us to send the passport to Canadian Embassy in Tehran as in Iran we cannot send passport out or in to the country.
Thank you so much everyone for all your nice and warm comments which helped us a lot and gave us so much hope.
I truly wish everyone here to get their passport request ASAP.

Guys I have a few questions for those who got PPR before
It says Please note, this does not guarantee that a visa will be issued. ... was that the case for anyone ?
It says to bring 2 recent photos... is it the small passport ones ?
Any ideas where my husband can stay overnight .. a close hotel or motel near the embassy ?
