Dear Omid Ohh really, I didn't know that. You are right because they already asked about your employment and copy of passport there is no reason to send the questionnaire for you.Do you have any news for your case? Did they receive the new medical? You are on top the list, I hope your case will be finalized before this holidays.Wish you all the best.
Thank you Eli. Concerning medicals, it was received on Nov 17 at Paris, France that's exactly 1 month. This is the information that my wife got from her doctor responsible for medicals. But I don't know where it is now?! Still in Paris?? transferred to Ottawa?? received in Damascus??? I don't know at all. they didn't reply to my recent enquiry on late November, but I'm optimistic to receive anything soon after holidays. because if Damascus will receive new medicals, our file will be more than complete!! they have everything...all information about me and my wife. I can't imagine anything that Damascus can ask us!!! We have sent everything, even twice or thrice!!!! they have all up-to-date information about me and my wife and we really are tired of waiting, both of us. I hope yours and other friends cases in this forum will be finalized very soon like most of our friends here who have received Passport Requests before. I don't know why our case became a waiting tragedy!! but I'm sure yours will be very much sooner because one of our friends in Tehran received her passport request 10 days ago. they had sent their application on late March 2010. So don't worry, it's not strange if you also receive yours before us. Have nice holidays, merry Christmas and happy new year!

I do not think so , because we had send all documents, and they send us Questionnaire, but I think the reason they asked us not you, because it is new requirement, not sure but this what I think
Dear Yaya Marei, I don't know. maybe you're right. they recently (50 days ago) asked for copy of all pages of my passport and renewal for my wife's medicals. this is why I thought that way. Only God knows about Damascus business!

Dear Omid I'm happy for you at least there is some progress in your case, and thanks for your support. I really don't know what was wrong with our cases that takes them 10 months or even a year to investigate. I just wish for the best in future, I can't change past but if I had the chance to change this 10 months for sure I left Canada and join my husband and then comeback here. This long distance relationship is killing me and ruining everything.
Dear Koumail130 It is good to hear that you found a good lawyer, try to be focused on your file. Tell the whole story to him/her and keep a copy of every document you give to him/her. Before signing anything make sure you read all the details very carefully.I wish you best of luck. Keep in touch and keep us updated.
Dear my friends I called Damascus office on Thursday, around 9 am local time and they said there would be no closure except 26th, 27th of December and 3 of January. I hope it is the truth and we expect visas during those holiday weeks.

Dear Arachir, thank you for your message. Actually I told that they had sent the documents in March not June. So I think Damascus has started processing sometime in April. Concerning the request for copy of my passport, I think Damascus wants to check that now I'm in Canada or not?! because they asked me to send them the copy of all date stamps converted to Gregorian calendar! They had also asked me before to send letter from employer, bank statements, insurance, home mortgage documents, .... and I have sent all of them. This is the reason that I told you our file in damascus is more than complete.

Dear Saman Congratulations for your wedding, wish you a beautiful and happy life together . I feel really bad how Damascus reacted when you were there they should consider that you traveled and you are worried about your case and at least they should have told something more specific about the case what does it mean a review from an officer!!! These officers are unconscionable. About a month ago when I asked my lawyer is it useful to go there he said no, I was suspicious maybe he is wrong again but now I see this is the first correct thing he said. As you can see there is some progress in the list and hopefully you will be called very soon. Wish you all the best.

Saman so basically what they told you is what they tell everyone in their stupid e-mails :" your file is waiting to be reviewed by an officer" this is such false information , I bet not officer has even touched the file. All they do is give people false hope.

Dear kamal225 & all,
Thank you Kamal for the useful informations, but unfortunately, this lawyer as mentioned is in Toronto and I am in Montreal. Do you have idea about how much lawyer(or immigration consultant) ask as fees for sponsorship application? I hope to find a trustworthy consultant because I find difficulties with filling up the outland applications.
Thank You
hi koumail130, why u don't try the lawyer who actually made this forum? his main office is in Montreal and he's pretty well known; i read many posts with people recommending him; also, u could call them for advice for free (which is rare!!) if i would ever need a lawyer (inshallah hope not) i would definitely consider him; this forum has so much useful advice http://www.canadavisa.com/contact-canadian-immigration-office.htmlgood luck!

No Yaya Marei, you are in queue for officers decision doesn't mean your back ground check is done. On Thursday I asked Damascus office they said, after BC check is done within 2 weeks passport request will be sent. In their last inquiry about 6 weeks ago they told me you are in queue for officers decision, so I'm still in BC.

Dear missmini, I know that filling up some applications with personal information isn't that difficult, however, in my case, my visa was expired from more than 3 months because of my previous lawyer who didn't submit my file! I prefer to submit an outland(Beirut office) as it takes less processing time than inland, but I have difficulty with some questions in outland application as I am in Canada. Nshallah I hope to find someone who can solve my problem. Thank you again.

My best advice to you full up the forum by your self, then set an with lawyer for 200 $ and he ll correct it for you, because he has experienced, and this is the best for you, if you want my lawyer not bad at all, just he love money, so if you want I send you his number call him and told him you need only one sit not more. after you fill up all information do not go for any consult they are ass, they charge me a lot give me bad advice cost me lots of money, and lots of time, and the worst got deportation because of his advice. trust me they cost me pain, and be far from my wife , and red flug in my case , all i can say is Hasbia Allah wne3ma alwakel
