Did any one else go to the embassy in person ?
If yes please share your experiences with us because I may want to decide to go there in person but I am not sure that it will affect and speed up the process. I am also a little suspicious that it will cause negative effects...

My update

 i send the Embassy Email asked if I have to pay for ARC, and I wanted to know if very thing going well.

 I have received email just now,

so I think it will take more months now ,

Dear Yaya Marei ;
They reply to my inquiry exactly the same " Your case is in queue .....", my lawyer said they usually don't mention your BC is finished because they wants us to keep waiting. I don't know exactly what is a ARC, but when I searched it means Authorization to Return to Canada fee and they most likely ask for the fee to be paid when they are at the end of your process. So be patient hopefully they will call us very soon.

Welcome to the club Yaya marie but at least you are in the same position as we are most of us in this thread
I dont understand If myself or eli for example have started processing in 30 march and we are in the queue so how can someone who started processing in sep in a position waiting in the queue maybe they forget about us or maybe each officer handle his cases differently or maybe it is one and only one automated message/reply that we get when we send an inquiry. in their last reply they mention that their goal for this year family application are within 6 months for decision made UNLESS THEY NEEDED DOCUMENTS OR MORE FILLED FORMS WHICH WILL CAUSE EXTRA DELAY.
AND AS MOST OF US WE WERE ALL ASKED FOR MORE INFO.

all i know good luck to all of us here in this thread and hopefully we will be done before the end of the year.

I have another idea about their reply,it depends on persons or person who answer the email,if s/he is in good mood he will go and take a look and see what is the stat otherwise they answer just by one format.as you know i sent an email 1 month ago they replied you are in BC,maybe they checked the file.and i said my medical is going to be expired they just answered if we want more document we will tell u,of course 1 month later they will say send medical again,but i told my wife to go and prepare another medical,till they recieve it,it takes 1 month.

I agree with Arachir if the person who answered is in a good mood it will go through the file otherwise they send those automatic messages.Remember Omid's inquiry he exactly mentions his wife medical is expired but in their reply they said your case in queue, which is completely irrelevant if someone goes through his email they would have found that he said the medical is already expired.  After some time they send a new email asking for a medical.I think these inquires are meaningless, I'm waiting here for 9 months there is two possibility either they lost my file or they are playing with the orders of file. If they like some name they will go through it if not postpone it.

What do you think he is going to say??"Your case is in process".I talked to MP office the lady told me after 1 year if there is no news we will contact them and provide you with some information but we can't fasten the process!!!I am sorry but I don't think he is going to help us. I have to think about this maybe I write him a letter but I will let you know before I do so, for sure my lawyer is 100% against this.

because in this cases you do not know which stage your in.

I do believe they put our files a side when something coming up they start do in it,
 My wife will come next month for visit I am thinking  to travel to Damascus give it chance me and her, and asked about process and where we stand.


I will  update you when I there. yes it may be not good in my case, but I learn nothing will hurts more than waiting for unknown.

Thanks, so if you go there can you please update us.I heard that if your case is in Background check in their reply they will mention your case is in BC. How long after the BC they will issue us a visa??How long is this queue?Some of our friends receive this reply 3 months ago and still no news. So I think the state of "Your Case is in queue for...." is not very clear.

 I received email from CIC today to confirm the receipt for permanent residence card. and the visa office has been notified.

My friend who applied on April got passport request today, they issue a passport request on October 27, but they didn't inform them until today through email(30th November) and now her wife has only 30 days to be in Canada.That is really awkward why don't they send them the request within a month.It seems they really want to make people suffer.
