My husband recieved an email today asking him to fill out the "Residency Questionnaire". I think this is standard precedure. Am I right?

for rola you can log in to the website of the immigration, they will update you if they started already to work on your application, even before you receive the letter that indicate it.

And for Azadehkhanoom, yes all of us have received the Residency Questionnaire.

Today I received a reply for our last inquiry, it took them 13 days to reply and same as always it is one of their "Robotic" messages;

"Please be advised that your client's application is in queue for review by the responsible officer. When a decision is made or we require any additional information or documents, you or your client will be contacted."

How's all my Damascus applicants doing ?  Hows the wait going for you ?  What are you doing in order to keep your mind off things or to keep yourself busy ?

As for myself.. brutal.. I can say all I do is school, work, and talk to my husband.  Even while at school I'm not doing so well because of the distance apart from my husband affecting me.  So sad to see my grades go down since I was doing super good in College.. Now in University a whole different way of doing things..  I can say I hate it.   Sometimes I just want to quit school and just work and make money but everyone tells me not to give up it will pay off in the long run.. Inshallah !

I really don't know what is going on in Damascus. Some new applicant get their RQ after starting processing in Damascus. There in no rational rule for their activity. So, what was your previous inquiry? Was it the same as last one?

what was your question my dear geminibella ? in addition to school and work and paying lawyer fees well we do cry laugh hope for a better tomorrow
stay on the phone or internet for hours and hours asking for the million time what are officers doing when final decision will be hopefully cic general manager refused cic staff vacation for holidays and new year ( must final decisions be made for our list with a letter welcocme to canada mailed to us all before any cic staff go for vacation )same way my wife's manager refused her vacation to come see me and only have 7 days off inluding one day to come one day to go back same night towork so i will see her for 5 days onlyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
so we do cry work hard to pay for flight and many other bills
dont quit school no way this is your weapon for life how do you know what tomorrow will bring aim big nice degree study hard keep your mind on the future and you will feel good take a break after studying and then study again and good luck
by the way my wife still go to school even she has university degree and 2 college medical degree and she is still updating courses and training which will make life in canada easier

thank you kamal for your very good advice for geminibella, girl you shoul have you own life, personality, degree and career,

all of us miss their partners but it doesn't mean that we should stop here and do nothing, you husband will have it sooner or later so

 think now about yourself and how to improve it. you will have a family soon, you should be helpful to them and when you study now

and work hard you won't feel the time and you will be doing something for yourself.

i am waiting also but i already got my bachelor and master's degree and now i am improving my english language

by taking courses.

I think RQ is just a piece of paper to postpone the whole process, they just send it to all the applicants. They will send it either at the beginning of the process or after 4-5 months to imply that we are working on your case.I think its nothing important about it, in all the froms we already mentioned so many things and all of the sudden they ask again are you a Canadian citizen or pr, what is your asset in Canada?when was the last time you have traveled outside Canada?? it is ridiculous.
My lawyer send both the inquiries with the exact body,to the same recipient, they didn't answer the first one(13Oct), but they answered 11 Nov. Their reply doesn't suggest anything new or important.

Thanks for your comment, You and I, are exactly in the same position and I 'm not so happy about the medical. The least important thing for them is medical exam expiry, they can simply ask you to redo it. My lawyer believe this reply shows nothing, we are not even sure if the security check is  finished because they don't mention anything about it. As you said you have received such a reply 2 months ago, and still no news.I don't know what should we do, I'm not so positive about the holidays either,I doubt anyone works during that time.Anyways we have to wait, hopefully tomorrow we have some good news.

Stay strong and positive. This situation is just temporary at the end what remains for you is your studies and you job. Don't quit your studies, In Canada in order to improve you have to have some degrees. Here getting a good job is like a battle between immigrants and Canadian. In order to survive you have to work hard and study hard.Try to talk to your husband everyday, use video chat and..... Try to be positive if one of you is emotionally strong try to help the other one. Don't lose your hope and I'm certainly agree with Rola_S , "You should have you own life, personality, degree and career", along with your marriage life.

Thank you for the great advice Kamal, Rola and Eli.  It is hard and I won't quit although so many times I just want to give up but then I find myself always getting up and doing what I have to do by persevering.  Thank you to all once again and times are rough and hard but yallah allah bi3 3eena.

So I wanted to give you an update on what as happened to me..

I got a passport request on nov 22.. And I got the visa on my wifes passport today..

I think you guys should all send emails to the embassy to find out what's up..
