Dear hibz,
i used the address damascus-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca and got a reply after 2-3 business days. and i that's my guess too, maybe they have decided to not send RQ from 2011! who knows! maybe they're back to their way of two years ago! and hopefully processing faster like before.
Thanks Vivi!:) I'm thinking they may not send the RQ for 2011 applicants too. I know four years ago when my brother sponsored his wife, they were never required to fill one out. But then again who knows.. that was four years ago, when damascus processed applications in less than 5 months....  |

sohrab they never had the RQ thing two years ago. anyways its just a form! me and my husband will do anything for him getting his visa faster, (una joon bekhan, inke ye forme!)  |

one of my friends had one of the non-routiniest (i'm not sure if that's even a word!lol!) cases ever!! and his husband got his visa in just 3 months, in 2008. but now ... urgh  |

Guys,
one month and half ago after I saw they did not send me the RQ e-mail, I just filled it and send it to Damascus on May 10th.
however, today wife got an e-mail from Damascus asking her to fillout the RQ form.
It means they didn't get the first one or just ...

I totally understand what your saying. My sister-in-law's case was finalized in less than 4 months...and now when people hear that its almost been 6 months and we didn't hear anything from them.. they are like  which makes me even more LOL. I know before (from my sister-in-laws case and a few friends who went through the process) they would only correspond with applicants when they need something... but once the requested info was provided the visa was given within a month, or two months max--but this doesnt seem to be the case now. Inshallah for you Nagz, i think the process is nearing its final stages... and there's a very good chance that you'll be enjoying the airplane ride back to Canada with your husband |

No problem with sending the RQ as long as we wont have to wait an additional 5 -8 months after we submit it... All we can do is hope for the best... Hope you had a wonderful birthday by the way |
