Damascus/Spousal since Jan 2010 or late 2009

Hey all,


I just found this forum, I applied on June 2010 and my file was send to Damascus in August 2010, they asked for additional documents on October 4th and I just got the request for my second medical exam last week.

I only emailed them a scanned version of my second medical exam, is that enough or should I also sent it to them via mail?

BTW, I just checked and they have increased the Damascus processing time to 11 in the CIC website

guys, i believe that processing time on the website doesn't matter at all! it's just the average time that took 80% of the files from april 2010 to march 2011 to be finalized! it doesn't say ok so we're gonna process 80% of the files from april 2011 to march 2012 in this time too! this number is just an approximate of what it has been for other people in the last year, not what its gonna be in this year! don't worry!

Strongly agree with you Geminibella and yes dnt worry about the processing time cause this is an only percentage of 80% of applicants who applied within last year this dose not mean we have to stay for 11 months and one more month has been added to our waiting time. stay positive and dont live in future instead please experience peresent enjoy being in your home countries cause these are last months of being at home where you were born (for those people who are main applicants!!) these moment are preciouce. show to your parents that although you are married, still you love being with them.

Aww that is such a warm mesasge !! I think everyone should read your message because it is true.. and as soon as you leave you're home country, it's all over and done.. everything will change and everything will be brand new to your eyes.  To us it's normal as we are used to this western country and its ways, but people who have lived their whole life in a different country than Canada, or US will see a lot of difference.

I don't believe that a scanned version would do them any good.. therefore to be on the safe side, If I were you, I would mail it in.

Your message is really sweet. I agree with you we should cherish the moments we have with family and loved ones because after you move here everything will change for you. Canada's a great country but there's no place like home. I'm going to lebanon july 10th can't wait 1 month and a half. Time flies I swear. Just yesterday I remember counting 120 days left lol

I will add you to the chart. I'm sure you will be getting your ppr soon since they've asked you for a second medical exam. We've been getting quite good news the past 3 weeks. Have hope your turn will come soon. What are you studying in Canada?
