did you do your military service in Iran? Or you were exempt?

well neither at the moment, i left iran when i was 10 years old and when i went back to visit and stuff i went with student exemptions, i tried to buy it last year but they boosted the price from 5000 to 10000 $ the day i was about to buy it ! lol so i was like no thanks, ill come back as a student again haha

Hi, everybody the requested for my wife to Redo the medical exam in April 17 and she did it after 2 days and now it been 3 weeks she has done it and we did not hear anything yet I called Member of Parliament and he said there is no point to email the they are going to say is in review he didn't want to email the embassy in damascus for me. my wife's file been at damascus 11 months and in Canada 2 months all in total 13 months. please tell me what to do and how I inquire for the file thanks everybody .

Hi Mohammad, we got the medical request the day after your wife did and are still waiting for a response. We should hear something soon, don't give up hope.

if ur case is not complicated be sure u will recieve ppr in within next 2weeks or even less than it....one of my friend`s husband ppr came yesterday but it was really complicated becuase they don`t want to live in canada for few next years.....less than 4 weeks after second medical result...

I see it has a question "Has your sponsor filed the most recent annual tax filing with the Canada Revenue Agency as a factual resident of Canada?", well I'm the sponsor and I have not filed my taxes because I have lived in Canada for only 5 months, I'm not employed yet and I don't have income and I'm relying on my savings from my country. Is this a reasonable explanation?! I wrote this as an explanation for why I'm not sending in an option-C printout when sending our application to CPC-M, and I was approved with no problem, but I'm not sure about this RQ thing.

Even if you don't have job or income from Canada, you still have to do the annaul tax return.

Dear vivi, all canadian citizens must file taxes, its just a NIL RETURN, which means 0 $ return, you can still do it, simply go to an accountant, say i didnt work , here is my sin number and thats it, i spent MOST of 2010 in iran , when i came back it was july, i went to an accountant and told them file my taxes, it took 2 mins, 0  0  0 0 , 0 return haha, 2 weeks later i called Revenue agency, i got my option c printout, which like i said was 0 and thats it ! you can still do it now , the MAIN reason for the tax return is to prove to them that listen i want to live here, not how much money you claim !  and when they approved your file it means they understand you being here for 5 months you are going to have a 0 return anyway so option c isnt needed, and when you get your RQ you can do the same and explain, or just file your tax before you get the RQ, they contact the revenue agency anyway so its no big deal

The thing is isn't it an annual tax return? I mean I came to Canada in late December 2010. I'm not a citizen, so that makes 2010 nothing for me, and we are only in the fifth month of 2011. So for which year should I file my taxes for? I became a PR in the last two weeks of 2010 and 2011 has not finished yet! I'm pretty confused!
