honestly i think everyone would agree RQ is just a waste of time, its 9 silly question making sure YOU LIVE IN CANADA and havent moved since you became a sponsor, thats it, its just to buy them time ! it doesnt matter if you get RQ 2 months after you apply, its still going to take like 7 8 9 months, RQ is just to give you a little hope that ooooo my file is going well thats it, i mean read the question, its silly, anyways , gemini, the military thing all depends on your husband, is he in lebanon?  like every country is different, some countries its not mandatory to serve in the military but iran for example is , so you have to photocopy your military card or exemption card, other countries is different....... im not too sure about the military rules in other countries but he should look into it

does anyone in here know why some people it takes almost another 6-8 months after documents sent to receive the passport request ? That is crazy.. the timeline makes it seem like every time you are closer, you are just that much further to getting the passport request... wow

hi gemini, my husband's father died in the army so he was exempt from military service , since my husband is not in lebanon  he asked from his brother in law who's in the army to get the letter from some ``general  chef d'etat major de l'armee`` anyway thats what it says on the translation. So i guess you have to  get it from some kind of general in the army??%? It`s called war2et wafo i think

My MP got the same kind of message from them to. I started my file before you so they said they will review it in May 2011. Lets hope the embassy doesn't close and we all process quickly, inshallah.

Hi hanna
Yes they requested New medical on feb 28 and I sent it to them the new one on march 9 and since then nothing except  I contact my mp and she replied with this :

I just spoke to the CIC Enquiry unit about this case.
They advised that the file is near completion.
It is due to be reviewed again shortly, at which point the next step would be issuing a visa.
Therefore, I would expect a letter should be sent soon to the applicant.
If you have not received any information within the next month, please feel free to contact me again so I can make another inquiry on your behalf.

a month later docs requested and after that i'm waiting ,every time i e-mailed them yhey just told me my case is in que for process and be waiting for update.
 i notice that the people who where in same situation they got their visa, is there anyone who can help me.

dear sarah , did you file an inquiry yet? its been 10 months for you so you should definitely go to the embassy website and file an inquiry!
