basically, all i am saying is it was weird how they specifically mentioned everything about my wife's case , so i knew it wasnt one of those messages they send to everyone, and another weird thing was how FAST they replied back

yes sohrab they replied to me very fast too..between 24-48hrs when ever i sent them an email...but the same answer plz be patient file is in qeue for review

Actually not so newsless!  Yesterday I decided to try something.  I had my wife call the Canadian Embassy in Tehran (I would have done it myself by the time difference is just not conducive to business hours there), and found a contact who did some inquiring on her behalf in Damascus!  For the first time we actually got an update, and it only took 1 day! He told her that her application is in que, however they are experiencing a lot of backlogs.  Also because of the recent reduction in Internet quality and reliability (couple with power outages etc.) the embassy has had some difficulty replying to and sending out emails etc.  Hang tight was the message she received. 

This is much better than "wait till 10 months have passed" response we typically get!

nice ! it feels good to have some news i know what you mean, yeah i heard about the backlogs thing too,  but im glad to hear that, waiting is the name of the game i guess

OMG dont do it!!!!! Concervitive government want to make it a harder and longer process spasifically for those who are wanting to bring a spouse!!!! call your NDP or Liberal. The concervitives will make immigration so much harder if they can!!!!!

I have been reading posts here for a couple of weeks and I see you are all in very much the same boat. (no pun intended)
 
We applied in Sep 2010 approved as sponsor October 5th (i'll never forget the feeling of opening that letter omg) and our ecas says processing since November 22. Jan 20 we got an email asking for additional documents and sent those in on March 15. I emailed the embassy and got the auto reply last week. I emailed my local MP on monday and they called me today with news!!!!

My husband does not need an interview! The medical is valid until september so they wont be asking him for one. and we are looking at waiting about 60 more days (as long as nothing happens to close the embassy) <---- knock on woooood

I was planning a trip to Lebanon too. the 3rd of June is our 1st annaversary and spending that appart super sucks!!! but he is trying to convince me to save the money the trip costs cause he will be here soon..... but in reality i'd spend twice that for just 5 minutes in his arms. I miss him so much
