I am sure we all understand that this isnt a political group/forum, its smiply a place for people who have the same situation to share information and compare their status', i am sure nagz did not mean good news people are dying she was referring to the fact that the unrest is slowing down, that is good news for all, us here , people in syria , and everywhere else there is unrest, my heart goes out to all those affected but there isnt much we can do about anything these days, and no one here means anything politically when they talk about syria or whats happening, we only talk about the outcome if the unrest continues......

I also have friends as well as family in Syria and i would OBVIOUSLY not write good news that tanks are coming out to kill people.  I have family that died during war in lebanon including my husband's father that was in the army so don't come judging when you haven't read the whole conversation.

exactly.... sleen and nagz, you are both right, you cant read one sentence and then say OH this person is WRONG, and my friend lovealife, like i explained, we are not talking about politics and who has family where, no one disrespected anyone and i dont understand why you are getting defensive, there are people here in this forum FROM syria and they didn't get upset by anything because they understand anything that said isn't meant towards anyone and it has NOTHING to do with loved ones, that completely irrelevant.

I received the following Letter From the embassy Today :

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.  Please send the following documents:

 

-          Your sponsor has to provide 2010 T4, and an updated employment letters with bank statements.

 

You must send photocopies of the Arabic originals of all documents. Only send ORIGINAL documents when requested. All documents, in a language other than English or French must be accompanied by original certified translations into English or French, except the passport. 

 

Please note that if you do not comply with this request within 45 days of the date of this letter, your application for permanent residence in Canada will be assessed on the basis of the information already before the officer.  Failure to provide the requested documents could result in the refusal of your application.

 
and that indicates that the people in the embassy are still working on files at least till this Today morning ,
can anybody tells me if the above is a good sign that they are finalizing my application

i was confused for a second haha i was like family class sponsor doesn't need bank statements or t4 , but i saw your status is FSW1 ,
but yea like i imagined they are working away so that's a great sign , and i think you are almost there my friend

I agree, my wife is in syria and we all empathize with those injured or killed. Guys, today it has been exactly 8 months since damascus started processing our file. I dont know how some people waited for 10 months or longer to get their visa. INshaAllah khair

is  theres any hope to process files faster next weeks its been almost 10 monthes  since they start processing  its getting really  bad   just worry if    they close the embassy

Dear friends,

I firstly want to appreciate your reply to my comments/questions and educating me towards the matters.

Sohrab is right, Sohrab jaan thanks for your positivity by the way. It is best to be patient, that is what I have personally learned and experienced in life.Most likely I am also going to go back to Iran to be with my wife for at least a couple of months. The opportunity cost would be definitely expensive thou. Even impossible for some people, I wish you all the best, and being far from my wife has definitely thought me something, to appreciate life and my relationship better.

It is unfortunate that Canada takes so long to process spousal visas. From my understanding the wife or husband who gets here will share your wealth, income tax, and will be an extra expense, maybe a longterm investment for Canada. Of course Canada gives student Visas in 47 days, they pay 3 times of tuition fees, will spend for their medical expenses and will be all profit for the government and the schools.

I pray for all of you guys to have a strong bond with your spouses even in the most difficult times and when you are far, and believe me, we will be paid for our patience.

I hope everything calms down in Syria and middle east, Syrian gov is not the worst so hopefully they figure out something with their people. I sure don't want Syria to become the next Iran. I also hope not many people get hurt in these situations, it is truly heart breaking to see such cruelty.

Why do they ask you to provide T4? Is it because you are going to live you and your spouse outside Quebec?
