I've heard it's a risk, if you don't get it, the rejection looks bad when applying for PR. My wifes friend got a visitor visa while applying on PR and she is now living with her husband here for a few months. There is no rhyme or reason, and well since she is from Iran, I wouldn't even say the country matters at this point LOL  It's all about luck then!  |

FORGET all this negative talk about closing and transferring and such, people you have to be positive, WHAT IF isn't going to solve anything, there is absolutely NOTHING ANY OF US CAN DO SO WHY STRESS IT? just be patient and have hope that it will go positively for everyone, i realized its a waste of time to just sit here and be like OMG what if they close, well if they close ill go back to iran to be with my wife till they open again lool now that's positive thinking but seriously we should all just look at the situation with a different perspective and do one thing that we can do .. WAIT.... |

It's all about luck then! yeas i guess ! visa is all about PROVING THE INTENT OF GOING BACK when your visa expires.... and if your husband/wife is in Canada and you are going to live with him/her how can you prove you will go back once the visa is expired?! |

Exactly, you can be lucky if your husband or wife have a house on her name in your country , a car , a stable job. This is the letter that they gave my wife when they refused her This refer to your application for temporary resident visa to canda. After assessing your request we conclude that you do not answer the requirements for obtaining a temporary resident visa. Therefore, your request is refused. Before making a decision, an officer considers several factors, including identification and travel documents of the request, the reason for coming to Canada, its relationship to canda. financial resources for the duration of the trip, its ties with his country of residence [including immigration status, and professional ties] and the probability to leave Canada at the end of their authorized stay. Under section 11 {1} of the law on immigration and refugee protection, the one that wish to become a temporary resident in Canada must satisfy the visa officer and meet Canada policy and finaly comply with the law. In addition, the applicant must satisfy the visa officer to meet the condititions of admission and leave Canada at the end of the stay authorized. Your request is closed. Please note that if you want to provide new information you need to do a new application. If you want to re-apply, I recommends that you only do if your circumstances have changed significantly or if you have new important information to convey. |

they do reply some emails, i never had an issue, i contacted them a few times and within a couple days i got a reply and no i dont mean the SAME THING they send to everyone, i got an actual reply regarding my wife's case and specific information, so i dont know i guess its different for everyone
I dont think you are right. I could be wrong. I emailed them way back (early January) and they replied to my email. I really dont know what is going on. "Patience" is the key word. |

what do you mean you dont think im right?  i am saying i sent 2 emails asking SPECIFIC questions about my wife's case and they replied to me right away, one took 4 days the other one 5 days, but they replied and answered my question, so i dont understand how im not right? My previous post was a reply to CanadianDude post. Sorry for the confusion |

Im sorry I missed the part where this is good news? the army with tanks were sent to DARAA to KILL inocent people is good news ?? I mean I can understand that you are waiting to be runited with your loved one but please dont mix things up. |

I am sure we all understand that this isnt a political group/forum, its smiply a place for people who have the same situation to share information and compare their status', i am sure nagz did not mean good news people are dying she was referring to the fact that the unrest is slowing down, that is good news for all, us here , people in syria , and everywhere else there is unrest, my heart goes out to all those affected but there isnt much we can do about anything these days, and no one here means anything politically when they talk about syria or whats happening, we only talk about the outcome if the unrest continues......

Again I understand that you all have loved ones that you want to be reunited with but please take care when you put together words describing the situation in Syria as some of us have loved ones living there and are in those dangerous situations. |
