You don't need to redo the exam. My wife's medical expired in July but the renewed it themselves and issued the visa. If you need to do it, they will tell you.

My wife medical is going to be expired by the end of August. I have filed the application early October 2011, and based on the Ankara processing time I expect to be informed sometime in Septemebr for PPR. I was wondering if anyone knows what we have to do now? Do we have to redo the medical test or not? I am asking this question since I heard that the medical regulation has been changed and the applicant has not to repeat the medical test until the embassy asks for it.

I would be grateful if anyone let me know about that.

Dear NMBMM if her status changed to in process it's better to wait for their email,you know they can extend this expiry time,i myself did it befor it expired but most of this forum members suggest it's better to wait....

Does any body know how long the delay is after paying the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)? Because I paid when they ask me to; I didn't pay it earlier.

When I think of "about to finalize" it means a few weeks... I hope it means the same to them! Lol 

I also paid the RPRF after. They didn't ask me I just wanted to pay it. I paid then called CIC weekly to ask if payment had gone through yet. It took CIC 3 weeks to process and notify Damascus that I had paid the fee. When did u pay? I read it is a 2 month delay to pay the fees later but if it's processed in 3 weeks I don't think it would take that long....

but does anyone know after u are issued the visa how long do u have to leave the country and enter canada?
in other words how soon after the issue of the temporary visa does it expire?

i called immigration canada...the officer told me to wait until they ask me to redo the medical...my husbands medical expired at the end of july...but i think its better to redo it before they ask for it.  u dont have anything to lose...what is an extra couple of hundred dollars on top of the 1000 and something dollars spent already?  its better to be safe than sorry and to avoid a delay in the process of your application
but again u can risk it and see if they will extend your date or not...but ur almost there...so there is a great possibility they will extend your medical date.

heyy Guys..i hope ramadan is treating you all well..inshallah we will all hear good news in this holly month...btw does anyone know what happened to Vivi, she just disappeared  on us, i hope that the reason behind her disappearance is the ppr and visa..

u can come 2 canada the moment u get ur visa stamped

It's usually valid until the expiry date of the medical.

I was also thinking abt them yesterday. I am on your side with that hope and wish her husband is in Turkey or Canada by now.
