it would suck if they close any time soon

here is my case:
my wife is from Lebanon and she resides in hat country
she clearly demonstrated on the app that her interview should be in Lebanon.
Is there anyway they can forward the application to the Canadian embassy in Lebanon for any "further" processing ahhh?


One more question: how come people are getting their visas without interviews?

this process is really getting on my nervous....I swear they are not re-inventing the wheel...

well no obviously they are not just going to close and leave haha, they are going to forward the files to an embassy close by for processing, i mean right now syria is the only one that does immigration( sponsorship etc... ) in the whole area of middle east but i am sure they will take care of it if it gets that far that the embassy has to close, but hopefully it wont,

no my friend, the embassy in beirut doesnt do this type of processing, no country does other than syria right now, BUT for interview they can send it to lebanon if necessary,
to be honest with you its RARE for interviews , i mean i dont know many people who had interviews,  i even asked them and they said its very RARE for interviews in sponsorship but in some cases they do it, it can depend on the age of the person you are sponsoring or their background , or even for example if the sponsor isnt a citizen , but like i said maybe 1 out of 50 will get interview,

There is Abu Dhabi embassy in the UAE that also do spouse sponsorship but that office take 20 months to process applications.

yeah the one in CAIRO Egypt does as well but none of them are as OFFICIAL AND AS FAST as damascus, i mean this is why from Mississauga it automatically goes to syria, i even know an egyptian guy who had his file sent to syria! haha

I'm going to lebanon 2nd week of july and coming back on august 7th... I hope they will have given my husband his pp by then it . August will mark the 9th month processing time.  And mikey I asked , lebanon only takes care of interviews... But it's weird cuz I heard like for example when people sponsor others from france or morroco or algeria etc.. they always ask for interviews??? I think it's mostly if people come from different cultures and that they haven't spent time together?

They will transfer for sure the files to another office. Which one? I dont know.
Take the case in Abidjan (Ivory Coast). They closed the visa office cause of the situation, and they transfer the files to Dakar office.
I hope also that they will not close.

yeaaahhh i heard that too, thats why i said, maybe because of background, africa has interviews for almost everyone, AND this is another thing i noticed, people that get married from 2 different cultures tend to have interviews too! anyways nagz i wish u the best of luck , inshallah ull go empty handed and come back with ur husband haha

Sleen, they haven't asked for any additional documents and hopefully they won't. All I am waiting for is their email for PPR or at most medical exam. Last time my wife heard from them was a month ago when they said that our file is in queue. My wife was saying that travelling to damascus is getting difficult. Road to damascus was blocked for a few days and in a separate incident, all the passengers of a bus were killed. I dont even know how my wife would go to damascus if situation worsens.

You have to wait until Mississauga send you a file acceptance letter with the file number then you can check on the internet. Welcome!
