This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.  Please send the following documents:

 

-          To undergo a new medical examination using one of our designated doctors – list attached.

 

You must send photocopies of the Arabic originals of all documents. Only send ORIGINAL documents when requested. All documents, in a language other than English or French must be accompanied by original certified translations into English or French, except the passport. 

 

Please note that if you do not comply with this request within 60 days of the date of this letter, your application for permanent residence in Canada will be assessed on the basis of the information already before the officer.  Failure to provide the requested documents could result in the refusal of your application.

 

Please note: It is your responsibility to ensure that the information you provide our office is accurate and up-to-date. Please inform us immediately if there are any changes to the information or documents you have submitted. If there is a change in your legal status or that of any family member (marriage, birth, death, divorce, etc.) you must notify us before visas are printed.

All correspondence/documents must be sent directly to the Canadian Embassy in Damascus at the address indicated above. DO NOT send or submit any documents to our offices in Amman, Beirut or Tehran. Any correspondence you send to these offices will be returned to you.

 

Your file is being processed in Damascus. No representations, faxes, telephone calls or correspondence can or will be answered by these Embassies; all inquires must be sent directly to the visa office in Damascus.

 

Please quote your file number, as well as your telephone & fax numbers on all correspondence and on every document you send to us.

this means you are at the last stage my friend, i am sure as soon as they get the new medical they will ask for your wife's passport, technically it hasn't been 1 year, i mean they count when it started processing in Damascus, so its been 10 months for you now, but you should do this medical thing right away because i am sure they are trying to finish your file IMMEDIATELY since its been 10 months!

before they ask to redo the medical the asked us to send my T4 and i sent it it was the history of my work because I am right now in jordan and i didn't do my tax return and i told them i need to go back to canada as soos as possible with my family... Today i got an email asking to redo the medical i hope thats it

well as soon as u do it they give u a paper and send the original to paris, when you send them that paper they get the real one from paris, so about 1 month, sometimes faster,

How long does it take for medical to be done and receive by the embassy

i think u hve to send them directly to damascus embasssy..they told u in letter...not to paris as sohrab said...i dont know u can ask ur physician...they know ..but i remember that we sent it to damascus (my husband garnd ma `s redo medical dicuments)

no no i didnt mean he send it to paris, the doctor does, everyone's medical goes to paris, my wife did it in tehran, iran, she gave me a paper that i sent to Mississauga when the process started, but the doctor told my wife the results go to paris and the embassy in syria gets it from them, and i asked immigration canada and they said that the RESULTS go directly from the doctor to immigration officers, they dont give you the results, just a piece of paper saying you completed the medical , thats what i meant !

As for the medical Sohrab is right it does go to Paris because The green paper has two parts one the doctors gives back to u you send it to Damascus the other one he sends directly to Paris. Anyway I still have a photocopy of my husband's medical paper here and doctor wrote on under medical office Paris.

yes i know for the first time the doctor sends them to paris and then they  will send back to damascus..but for the second time i think u have to send them directely to damascus urself not even ur doctor....i am not sure really but i think my husabn`s grand ma did it cause she got her ppr 2 weeks later..!!!!i think she sent them herself...
