Hi lele,

I think beirut vo give ppr only friday! I am not sure but the wife on my friends receive ppr back in 2010, 2009 and its was a friday this is what they told me. Kat receive ppr a friday too! They call poeple friday and told them to come monday.

hey guys im on the same boat as you guys, i have not heard much back from ankara, i have send emails after email and nothing,,...

i have the same problem. i am now in 15 months and 8 days and soon will pass 16 months and still now news. we( my husband and i ) have sent several emails/faxes and letters to both damescus and ankara embassy but no responce. we even contacted immigration office in Canada, where they just told us your file is in ankara and the processing time is just approximate time and you have to wait till they contact you.
we even don't know how they will contact us. as since they have transferred the files to ankara, they have omit my postal address in their website and they even didn't confirm whether they have the right address or not.
so far we have spent huge amount pf money to visit each other during past two years but still they offer to be patient.
i\d be thankful if any body could help.

thunx for the kind words...my husband did his medical back in either jan or dec 2011/2012..or his medical is pretty recent a while back our ecas was changed to medical received but thats it..nothing else..and my husband lives in kermanshah..

Kazhal,

Listen to me, I know you are stressed, I might not know what issues this is causing you. The thing is that this whole immigration system is pretty messed up that's why we can not get answers, tell me if your husband has done his second medical, and tell me when. I promise you if he has done the second medical within a month he will get his PPR.

Btw, what city are you from? just stay with us, this forum is to support all who come here and share similar situations with us. Just remember, have faith and think of the good days to come with your husband, God will choose what's best for you...

today I did my 2nd medical ex in Baghdad ,this link below contain mobile number of Canada immigration health department in Iraq , just call them after 9 am (middle east time) and take appointment and should take 7personal  pictures ,3colored copies of  passport ,and other documents they will need it from applicant.
this the address of hospital :

in the reception they must tell them (we took appointment for medical ex of Canada)  and they will let them enter immediately,they allow the applicant to enter with only  one relative ,no more.

can any body please tell me if they were notified by embassy that their file has been transferred to ankara?? i didn't receive anything from any embassy since august 2011 to repeat my medical test and am really worried.

I have been as proactive as possible in getting information.I did all of the documents myself with no lawyer help.When I sent the documents back in March 2011 to Ontario the wait time in Syria was 6-7 months for spousal.Then as time went by it became 9,10,11 and now 12-15 months at Ankara.I started to get worried about the situation in Syria so I contacted my MP since we had not gotten any updates at all.Then my MP got my case number and she notified me that my wives medical had expired and we did another one in Feb of 2012.Now i am at 12 months and 2 days.But I am in touch with my MP and really dont care if I keep bothering him so I would recommend you to get involved with your MP or contact your local news channel and voice your concern.Or just keep calling Mr.Kenny's office:

hummm, i dont know, i honestly don't belive in any thing like MP or lawyer or CIC representative. right know the situation in Ankara is messy. i just look at the time frame which they put it in their website.

funny story guys, my mp called me today to give me an "UPDATE" and he told me that i shouldnt expect anything until july, i listened with a smile, he was like yeah i dont want to be negative but you file arrived in ankara at the beginning of april and no OFFICER has been assigned to it,and when they do assign a officer it will be a couple of months at the least, i waited for him to finish and when he said lets set the next UPDATE day, i said how about never? he was confused, i was like my friend thanks for your help i got my ppr 2 weeks ago , thanks for nothing see you in the next election loooool
