hi guys,
i am writing you from Ankara. our 14 months processing time was passed therefore i decided to come to Ankara and follow up on the file and hope that i would either get an answer for PR or get a temporary tourist visa for my wife like Fardizad did. i did show up at 8 o'clock at the immigiration section of the embassy and there were almost 30 people in line for their applications and after 2 hours of waiting they told me write your email address and we will contact you otherwise since you have a lawyer you just have to wait to hear from him!!! i did explain to them that the processing time has passed and they said: well you jusy have to wait more!!!!! the funny thing was that i was not able to see any candian employee and the reciption was the only place i could reach and they refused me any access to anyone else. basically the people i could talk to didn't have any authority over this issue and when i asked to talk to someone in charge or a advisor or counselor or officer they said you can't!!!
Sohrab maybe you can help me and tell me what should i do or Faridzad maybe you can tell me who you talked with ( or who did your wife talked with ) and what did she say. thanks guys this is the last bullet i had and it did hit the stone. i am at a point that i either get an aswer or i will go back to canada and ack my stuff and quit my job and school and go back to Iran.
Hi, i have the same problem. i am now in 15 months and 8 days and soon will pass 16 months and still now news. we( my husband and i ) have sent several emails/faxes and letters to both damescus and ankara embassy but no responce. we even contacted immigration office in Canada, where they just told us your file is in ankara and the processing time is just approximate time and you have to wait till they contact you. we even don't know how they will contact us. as since they have transferred the files to ankara, they have omit my postal address in their website and they even didn't confirm whether they have the right address or not. so far we have spent huge amount pf money to visit each other during past two years but still they offer to be patient. i\d be thankful if any body could help. thanks |

I applied 13.5 months ago but have seen my wife only 3 times in the last 21 months. Since we were sick and tired of this situation we decided to end this pain and she got a ticket to come to Iran to live besides me till the end of the process (she is a pr and basically we shouldn't do this,but we don't care anymore). Not to have any unfinished business back in Canada, she met her mp and at the same time ordered my caips. Both scenarios led to same point that my file is in Ankara and I have to be patient. As I check my ecas regularly I understood today that my ecas is updated, I still don't know when this nightmare will end but my suggestion to u and amirnezam is to meet ur mp and order ur caips to get as much info as possible if u haven't done yet. The least is u'll make sure that either they have ur correct address or what. |

I received an email that all file (from Iran) has been transferred to Ankara |

They don't notify u by email, they might update ur ecas. However, in some cases even the ecas was not updated until the ppr was issued! |

My wife's ecas is saying in process since march 8th , my file was transferred directly to Ankara on feb 23 , 2012. Medical received in Jan 2012 . I heard from an agent that it takes approx. 12 months for the new applicants from Iran to get PPR.  From my personal experience these ******* imm. agents talk outta their arses( Excuse my lang.) hopefully they don't keep themselves much busy with the transferred visa files from Tehran. well I wish each and everyone of you guys get the PPR ASAP, Me included . Mehdi jan, i dont get why ur medical recieved in jan 2012 despite u they did file ur application in 2011. |

siavash jan in some cases they do notify by email too, i got an email on March 14 confirming that. |

I have not received anything from any VO either, called CIC twice and they said ur file s not here, n they even did not know where it was transferred to. As Siavash said, they are not to notify us, although Rah and some other friend here had received confirmation that theior file reached Ankara. I believe we have to stay positive that our files are transferred and now resting in Ankara safe and sound till our turn. I once told AliAria, in this process No News=Good News! |
