sadly its true.... if they want to hold a file they will and they wont tell you why, unless you do what farid and his wife did, farid had no idea it was because his marriage certificate wasnt from iran he thought it was a million other things , thats whats horrible about the process, we dont know what the problem seems to be, medical, background... , but anyways thanks farid joon for all the great news/information, kheily jaleb bood

wooow it's nice to see positive news congrats for the new PPR's....Booj, i'm confused, didn't u say a few weeks ago that there's nothing on CAIPS, they didn't even work on anything? if yes it means that even CAIPS is not that reliable or that they can finish fast a file if they really want (it is possible that they did all the work after u ordered ur CAIPS)...so for the ones with nothing on CAIPS notes don't despair, it does not necessarily mean that u will still wait long time

rah, when u submit ur file, u can choose the processing office either the country of citizenship or the one of residence if it's different like in our case; us we chose the country of citizenship and i'm very happy they actually send it there since Abu-Dhabi office is one of the slowest in the world....hope Amman will process everything faster

Farizad !!!! very great news! I am soooooooooooooooooooo happy for you and your wife!   within 13 months whenever I felt disappointed I remembered your situation  and quickly felt better! You become a hero now , and you are the symbol of patience for us!
Missmini! you are right ! 2 weeks ago I received my CAIPS and all steps in the report was checked as NOT STARTED, except my medical. I got so upset at  the time, and when I consulted with one lawyer he confidently said me that I had to wait for 3 more months (AT LEAST)!
SO my friends, DOn't even trust on your CAIPS! really nothing is predictable! you may get an email on tomorrow asking for passport request, even if all items in your CAIPS is NOT STARTED!

Samira asked farid that should her husband go to Ankara VO as farid's wife did and ask a tourist visa for Samira?

Farid said he is not sure but if the ppr takes so long it might worth trying.
He mentioned that her wife talked to the officer in Ankara for around 15 minutes explaining the hardship of separation. She told them that she is getting crazy, she has lost her concentration at job and can't continue like this because it's been 21 months that she has seen her hubby on and off...and u know the end of story, they issued farid a tourist visa so he can live by his wife till the final decision is made.

 Arezou , I was wondering if you can add another column stating if the person went to millitary service or not.
Of course it the people don't mind to share.
This way maybe we can compare better and see if that slows the process

Hello everyone

Congrats to dear Farid, I wish you the best coming to Canada   by the way I am in Montreal too

So you know, our marriage is done in Iran and my husband (alone ) went to the embassy in ankara (april 24th and 25th) as well ; exactly when Farid went. first time he went to the embassy they did not let him in and asked him to write whatever question he has on a piece of paper and they would answer him by email or phone. Next time he wrote his questions and took it to the embassy , there, since there was no one outside they let him in. Inside the embassy there were very few people. He was not seen by any visa officer except the inside secretary. He was only told that his file is in process and they can not give him more info eventhough he explained that he was traveling from iran in order for him to get at least some info.

I believe Farid's case was an exception due to his long timeline; and I am very GLAD for him, it's good that his wife was there with him; GOOD LUCK to you Farid
