what i read in article is pretty upsetting having to wait that long to just be told sorry, here is your application and if u wana come to canada go ahead and apply again....this immigration system is a failed system, and canada is letting down lots of its own people too, for instance i have not seen my husband in 2 years, when i applied they said 8 month only, then it went up to 9, 11, 13 and recently 14, the only reason i didnt go back to see my husband last year was because i thought he'd be here around hallaween thats what my lawyer told me..its been 14 month and 2 weeks and i have not heard anything useful...such a shame for  great country to have a failed system and let everyone down badly!
but im still smiling and looking forward for the day to see my husband in person one more time..

There wasn't much of a positive response to the November 2011 article about the lawsuit by some of the ones affected by the backlog, but I think there's more of an awareness that the poor handling of some immigration matters can come back to bite them with other government services that *they* depend on.

OMG what? 6 -8months from February ?  why? this is baaaaaaaaaaaaad news,this kill me,my patience depleted,impossible,what about the applicants who passed the 14 months or 16 months waiting here in this forum?? if add 8months,its 2years ,2 year to sponsor his wife or her husband? please friends tell me its a jock ,if this is true then why there is applicant through the  passed 2 months they got ppr without waiting added 6 or 8 months ?? this news smelled  from stupid lawyer or MP

Unfortunatly it is true, that what my MP s office confirmed to me. Also some one who works at the embassy in Beyrouth

Totally agreed. So far there has been at least three people who got their ppr from Ankara, so that invalidates this news at least for Ankara.

its cannot be true because the one who is waiting for 16 month cannot receive his ppr at the same time that the one who is waiting for 3 or 4 month. Maybe the 6 to 8 month its for the new files. As another silent reader said they issue ppr from ankara and amman so its sure that its not true.

Guys, it was too quite in here as Nenan said; so I thought I'd share that today my e-cas had a new line which explained that my medical was received. It wasn't news to me since it was the only thing mentioned on my CAIPS.

I just want to remind everyone who shares my same time line that e-cas isn't reliable and this doesn't mean anything besides the fact that we all know which is they actually work but we are not seeing the efforts of their labour specifically on our files. Nshallah (hopefully in Lebanese) soon!!!

May God bless us all and give us the strength and patience to withstand this hardship.
 
By the way, I'm wondering where a lot of people are like lele and others. Hope if you're being silent readers you say hi:)
