OH MY GOODNESS!! This is devastating! 300 000 people getting their applications returned after 4 years of waiting! and this quote is scary "The applications being returned are currently only from the FSW program. No additional plans have yet been announced to address backlogs in other immigration categories." Is family class next?? it does not make any sense that people who waited so long get theirs returned and someone who applied a few mths ago is still in process. Now our VOs will be busy returning files instead of processing files!! WOW! I am shocked! I read an article a few weeks ago that suggested they are considering getting rid of spousal sponsorship because it cost the government 16billion/ year to bring in spouses that do not necessarily have and skills to join the work force. I didn't think they would actually do it but this article shows they will stop at nothing:( those poor applicants:(
i knoooooow me too i was so shocked i thought i read wrong at the beginning....i thought that those who waited the longest will b given priority and the others will b put aside until the line empties....and yeah i noticed too everything u said!!!! it is really shocking....they should also think how much money they will loose from taxes, etc if those Canadians who cannot bring their close families anymore would leave Canada to b with their families....anyway these changes come slowly hope we will all be done by then have a sunny day!!

Ohhh, even this solution doesn't work...we ran out of solutions..sometimes i feel like laughing at what i'm in..i feel pitty for myself and others...anyway, we have to wait,i guess:)
if any of us is working or has connections with different NGO's, immigration offices, communities there, etc we can present them the situation and have them as representative for a big group of people not one individual at a time...unless they receive many letters at once stating the same thing i doubt it has any affect... also i'm not even sure if it's actually them who read the letter or just some secretary which will just send a standard reply and put us in spam

You are right missmini... they do not even personally read our letters, the replies I got back were written "on behalf of..." and yes I agree change comes slow and must be legislated and I have often thought to myself or told my husband that we will hopefully be done the process before any big bad changes come! Have a lovely Friday everyone... one more day of work before I can spend a beautiful weekend with my kids:)

Very unfair... Frankly by the way we are being treated, the concept of "Justice" is under a big question mark for me!

Amir welcome to the forum!
As most of people recommended in previous posts, go for the second medical. I redid mine without any request on Feb, my lawyer also encouraged me to do so.
Caips and mp r 2 options that I haven't tried yet. Btw, r u living in Toronto?
yes

Here it is Faridzad.... " On behalf of the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, I would like to acknowledge receipt of your correspondence. While the Prime Minister understands the circumstances that caused you to write, there are certain restrictions on the involvement of cabinet members - including the Prime Minister- in cases like the one you have described. These limitations exist to assure all applicants that the immigration and refugee determination process is independant and free of political interference. Accordingly, the Prime Minister will not be able to make any representation on your behalf to the Department of Citizenship and Immigration in this matter. I have however directed a copy of your correcpondance to the Honorable Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizen, Immigration and Multiculturalism, for information. While I know you will be disappointed by this response, I hope that you can understand the reasons for this policy." That's it... I had already sent the same letter to Mr. Jason Kenney and I can't seem to fins the response from his office at the time being but his response was along the same lines and explained that it is a fair system and we simply must wait our turn for our application to be reviewed.....

What I'm saying is very selfish and cheap but eliminating 300,000 applications means more space for the current files, right?...... Its so pathetic!! Missmini, I don't understand but how they r allowed to do so?! If only 10% of those 300,000 ppl take a legal action, there will be so many law suits on Canadian courts against cic that cic needs to allocate a part of its budget to hire some lawyers!!!! And they claim that they r doing so to cut the budget!
