yes it was received at Damascus on the 3rd of May 2011.

My wife re did her second medical last week. they did not ask for it. She just did it to save time.

Mine was received by Damascus in May too and I redid my medical without notice 2 weeks ago!

Here is the full update of my friend's case that been asked to deposit her landing fee.
She applied on Dec 1st 2010. She received her eligibility number (client Id number) on jan 12th 2011.
Her file was received by Damascus on jan 25th.

Now there is an update on her e-cas showing that her second medical is received (she did it without being requested). And also it's mentioned that Ankara has started processing her file on Feb 15th 2012.

According to her lawyer, she will be asked to send her passport around 4 weeks from now.

My understanding is that the time that our files were kept in damascus is counted and this will shorten the processing time for us in our new VOs.

U r definitely at the final stage and will hear from Beirut pretty soon, just keep checking ur e-cas for any change. If her ppr is due in 1 month then the whole process for her in Ankara will be only 2 months which proves that she has saved 3 months (60% less processing time in the new VO). I hope this rule applies to all of us.....An analytical mind is a gift of cic to all of us! Lol

Rast migi va khieli Hagh Dari. But believe me these kind of thoughts that 'they've forgotten to process my file' comes to every one's mind. We shouldn't put our lives on hold for Canada, but at the same time living far from our spouses causes that we tell ourselves that this period is temporary.....and when u think something is temporary u just want it to end!

My e-cas changed to in Process and they added a line that says we started processing your application on March 8.

"We received your application for permanent residence on May 3, 2011.
 
We started processing your application on March 8, 2012."

I can only imagine your frustration and I'm really sorry for what you're going through:( but, when God closes a door, he opens a window. So don't be hopeless because this has to come to an end soon. Have you contacted the embassy? contacted MP? called CIC?

Nothing special during the past 2 weeks; however, we saw some movements from Amman and Ankara VOs in the last 2 days.
They haven't issued any ppr yet but the good thing is, they have confirmed the receipt of medicals and have updated the e-cas of applicants by this sentences that we have started processing ur file from March XXX.

My husband did his medical again CIC never requested it, but he did to save some time!!!

I emailed damascus and ankara the Appendix C and medical report section A.

My husband also faxed it to them.  Is there anything else we need to do??
