In Ontario,  the income does not matter for the spousal sponsorship and education as while. Remember when I filled in May, I was in visiting Kuwait at the time and still here....lol

With the time frames, I really think it is just the officer who is in charge of our files....inshallah we will hear some good news soon guys

Niagara I cannot answer your question because I do not know myself. I've spoken to lebanese people here who have sponsored their spouses and most of them took around 5 months to 6 months max. Why does it take longer for us? Maybe because there are more files to be processed now and the officer in charge has more work to do... That's my guess

In Ontario the income matters all from Ontario have filled files about your income but the language does not matter the reason why its too long is first because they have 2 Times More files to deal with so our Time Will be multiplide by two so If it took them 5 to 6 month well it Will take 10 month but i Know last year people came  In less then 4 month
Also avorter reason why it take More Time is because of your file and each file has his own reasons
Logically That is what i think and now we do not have nô choice In waiting what else CAN we do ? Nothing

i think that no one can answer this question, all of us are waiting, no news, nothing from the ambassy, it is a question of time, but waiting isn't easy anymore.

Your right is the waiting game

sleen, i know we have to fill out the information of our income but for spousal, there is no minimum income, so you can make $500 CND a year and you can still apply. But if you have other coming as while that is where they put a minimum requirement of income. That is what i meant

Welcome musab,
we have our time chart posted in the last page, take a look at the dates and it will give you an idea. I am sorry to say you will be here for a while. As posted in the CIC the time processing in Syria is 80% of files completed in 10 months

well in the CIC website you will find the information that there is no minimum income for spouses  and when i filled mine i was visiting kuwait and my income taxes that i filled with the application did not have a large amount of money (that was my current year T4) , i was only working part-time and studying, so really i had very little income.

Now you are making me worried

okay i saw it, the letter does not say that he was refused, it only says it needs more information from him. I did send the bank statements because i added his name on the bank account to prove we are together and i did send the income tax copy. If it is only the spouse then there is no minimum income but for other family members there will be a minimum income.
