Lol really lol.....it's like riddle.....Samira joon u've already waited for 6 months. (43% of the process in Damascus). So u have already completed 2 months of the processing time in Ankara (Knowing that process in turkey is only 5 months)
So with a simple calculation if we say they start working on ur file on march, u should receive ur visa around June.

siavash jan..why  do u say they work on march...you think that they are gonna hold our file till march...

i don't believe it ..it is clear everything .just new application are related on march ..and we are related to past application for them.

anyway they work for our application even this month

it means ...5 months ...even 2 or 3 months

I think all file will be treated as if they were still in the same office ( damascus ). and this office need help from other offices ( leb. , jord, turk. ) . also the same employees will work in our application have transfered or moved to leb , turkia, jurdan offices to work.

Yep u r right, as i said earlier the files which were held by Damascus r already being processed in Ankara....but I'm not sure if Samira's file has ever made it to Damascus since her eligibility result was given after July......what I said was the pessimistic point of view....she will have it inshallah by June or a month sooner.

They have announced a new processing time for Damascus : 14 months.
That probably means that they are going to treat our files as if they are still in Damascus.
Too bad ... This is called discrimination.

sure it is. why do u think the processing time of damascus for sponsorship program has changed from 13 months to 14? it is strange coz the visa office is closed !! by the way I think the update of damas from 13 months to 14 months means that u guys who are waiting for almost 13 months, r going to get finalizing good news in one month.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp

yes the office is closed now but the average was calculated from before; between January 2011 - December 2011 the offive was open; and for Amman or Beirut they did not do this type of application before so they cannot put any processing time Smiley

guys sometime i feel the ones who don't even know the embassy is closed sleep better at night; u will get the visa soon so don't be so worried where the file is: it is with the same officer who continues to work on it from another location Wink u might get the visa before seeing update on e-cas that the file was transfered to another embassy Wink

me i feel bad for those who aren't sure if their file reached Damascus at all; call CIC, get the MP involved and u will find out....good luck, stay strong and patient!!

PS: many embassies have the processing times increased (thanks God Abu-Dhabi decreased with 2 months, it's 25 now Roll Eyes a miracle LOL for one year it didn't decrease at all)

Two thumbs up for the opposition Syrians who forced Damascus visa office to speed up the process by sending our files to other visa offices!!!lol

that's not nice....i'm sorry but i'm sensitive at these things cuz there are people stuck there, loved ones and they r not safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! people are getting killed every day, with the dozens or they are stuck in the homes, without any basic necessties, no electricity, no heat and it's winter time; the small children get sick, u cannot really go to hospital, it's really really hard....as i said for me it was sad that they closed because it means the situation is very bad, but noone listened or showed any compasion Sad noone thinks at the broad picture too and how serious is there now Sad

I don't know if our files will be transfered to the new vo before march. Because on the website says all new applications will be transfered in march but they are transfering the old ones from syria to the new vos now. I guess after they transfered everything out of syria the they send th new ones, but maybe urs is already in syria and being transfered but mine is in canada from aguest. I don't know if they are going to treat my case like the old one or new one. I just hope mine is trasfered to ankara before syria reopens

Hi,

Exactly, in October they asked my wife to redo his medical test. On December 13 we received an e-mail from damascus confirming they have received medical results but wait the results of the security investigation. In early October, when Damascus had asked my wife to redo the test medical They had also said in the e-mail that they wait for the results of the security investigation. So that at least four months that they are waiting for the security investigation that is made here in Ottawa I think.

To me, it's been a month and a half that damascus has not even look et our files. The last poeple to have their visa as of December half. The one who receive the visa last week was from lebanon and do the interview in Lebanon too so the file was there.  This is why he receive the ppr. Subsequently, they were busy with the Canadian in Syria and then transferred the file. Also, since made it all official yesterday means that all files were transferred. So in the coming days we would expect that some of us receives their visa. Especially for the one that their file is over 13 months like my wife!

Its true that the situation in Syria has make our life difficult but the damage is passed  and nshallah we are back to normal now. So at least 5 or 6 ppr every montht Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

salam Hab i dont understand one thing i remember they asked  ur wife for redo-medical 3 months ago ..am i rigth ? wish u all the best n inshallah soooooon ur wife will  get the visa ...

i called the CIC 2 weeks ago and asked them about my wife's file, but they didnt tell me what i asked for, they told me you have to contact damascus by sending emil about your file and we don't know about it now.! so thats why i'm confused!

It was a joke but seriously, I'm happy for Syrians. They r doing something that ppl in Iran couldn't do it....at the end if by removing Assad from power, it turns Syria a better place for their next generation to live in I believe it worths the price they r paying.
