good news [Smiley] for all of us,

I hope now they will back to work on our application.
my application almost 13 month[Sad]...

Lele jan,

Keep in mind that even if there is a delay in the process it is better that being in a "Don't Know Situation" that we faced with the files in Damascus! Having said that, I'm really sorry for u and anyone who has been waiting for such a long time and instead of receiving their visa they have to wait again!

I guess it's official Iranian cases will go to Ankara and  others will go to Lebanon and Jordan.

Due to Continuing Violence in Syria, Government Closes Visa Office
Services redistributed to Lebanon and Jordan

Ottawa, January 31, 2012 — Due to the continuing violence in Syria, the Visa and Immigration Section at the Canadian Embassy in Damascus is closed and services have been transferred to neighbouring visa offices, Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism announced today.

“Following this redistribution, the visa offices in Lebanon (Beirut) and Jordan (Amman) will become full service offices,” said Minister Kenney. “Now applicants in those countries will have access to full immigration services in their home country.”

The visa office in Jordan (Amman) will also be responsible for all applications from Iraq, while the visa office in Turkey (Ankara) will take care of immigration applications from Iran.

hey guys, would you say that from now on we should no longer contact Damascus and rather contact our designated visa offices, Amman/Ankara?

If you have not yet been contacted by your new processing office, and your mailing address / e-mail address has changed, or you wish to withdraw your application, you should send an e-mail to the Damascus office, which will forward this information to the new processing office.  Also, if you have received a request for information or documentation from the Damascus office to which you have not yet responded, you should send that information to Damascus for forwarding to the new processing office.  These are the only circumstances in which you should contact Damascus or any other Canadian Visa Office in the region.  In all other instances, you should await contact from the new processing office - at which time you can provide them updated information or make queries regarding your application. Correspondence which does not meet these requirements will not be answered..............So I can say logically u have to contact Amman but most probably they won't reply!

Dear Friends from Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon,

I understand that our files r not being processed in the same office anymore; however, please keep us posted about ur progress in this thread.
Its very important that we can monitor how the new VOs r going to follow the time sequences of the files in Damascus.........there r many ppl who have been waiting for 12+ months now and they were supposed to receive their visa.....so what we need to put under close attention is how Amman/Ankara r going to respect the timing of ppl.

Viva Vivi!!

Babamoono dar ovordan vali finally there is a timeline a head of us......personally I think, Damascus processed our files to a certain point before transferring them to Ankara. In other words, we have already passed 2-3 months out of 5 months processing time in Ankara and if we r a bit lucky we will receive our visas before Norouz or a few weeks after Norouz!
