Hi my friends,

I have a QUESTION which is VERY IMPORTANT for me, PLEASE HELP!

I came to Canada in March 2008 . I got my pr and went back to Iran( my country) in July 2008, I got married in 2010 and came back to Canada on March 12, 2011. my Pr card will expired on march 21,2013 and I'm sponsoring my husband from Iran , applied 8 month ago. for some important reasons I HAVE TO go back to Iran so:

1: can I go back to my country and stay there for 3 months?
2: when should I apply for a new Pr card? I mean how long before the expiry date? can I apply a month before?

I have been in Canada just about 15 month! ( I need to be in Canada for at least 2 years to renew my Pr)

you can go back and stay as long as you want ( men need to serve in the military)
but when it comes to renewing the PR you are going to have problems, big ones.... since you are a PR and you keep going to iran,  they will take this into consideration when they finalize your husbands file, and yes they will be picky ( i know because i was picky) hmmmmmm she was in iran 4 months ago and now she wants to sponsor , no problem, wait 13 months and we'll see ,
im just saying you are not helping your case

my family in iran is my older brother and my wife, i dont have anyone else , but yes dear you can stay as long as you want, who can stop a CANADIAN CITIZEN... my last message was about a PR, if you are a citizen you can go and stay there for the whole process, better for u , bekhoda man haminkaro mikardam, but my career doesnt allow me, this little vacation time that i got, im grateful, 7 sin male mane, im one of the SINS , SOHRAB, 6 sin ta man beram bad mishe 7 sin  looool all the persians in this forum will be laughing at what i just said

I am a Permanent Resident of Canada and have applied to sponsor my wife. We got married in Feb. 2010 and start  sending our application in April 2010. We got sponsor acceptance letter from Mississauga in May 2010 and Damascus sent us the file No. in June 22. In July 19, Damascus sent an email requesting to fill out Residency Questionnaire form. The form was sent in August 11.

Due to my marriage reception, I was in Iran from Feb. 2010 to August 08, 2010. I am a PhD student in Canada. Do you think my stay in Iran can affect the application? What would be the approximate processing time?

I was reading this old post. It was interesting. He was one of this thread's old members. He was a PR but he stayed in Iran for almost 6 months and they got their PPR in 8 months. So i think it can clear the PR's doubt about staying out of Canada!
