and look for Edmonton, it's better to find the MP (member of parliament) close to your area (or your wife's) in edmonton. Click on their name, and it gives you their address + phone number.

Remember that it's 13 months for 80% of applicants, not 100%, and this figure is based on how fast they were processing in the last year (I don't know about the other factors such as number of applications, but things like an evacuation order would certainly slow them down). They'll update that number again next month to capture how fast they worked for the last 12 months before THAT date.

At first I wish for every one getting a visa ASAP because the waiting, really    gives a sense of  nerves for any person  .
This is  first time for share and write post in this forum .
I was applied my application for PR in fimaly class at Jan.7th 2011 and my file arrived to Demsscus at Feb. 15 th , 201 I'm sent all requirment   to now I haven't any response from embassy only at  last July I sent Email to their for asked my status they answers me " Your Application now in queue ........."
Now I', thinking to send request to CIPS File is the ok or not. and this request will be interrupt for processing the application or not

You can order GCMS notes anytime once your file is at the visa office, of course if you order them too early they may not say very much at all. Given that it arrived at Damascus in February 2011, I think it would be very helpful to order them and see what they say. Ordering the notes will not affect your processing at Damascus as long as you check off "GCMS" and not "visa file" on the order form. GCMS is just the Global Case Management System and the people at the Access to Information and Privacy Request office in Ottawa have access to it. They will essentially simply print off printscreens of your case that they see in the system.

It has nothing to do with what country you are from. Your Canadian spouse must contact the member of Parliament that represents their riding, so it depends on where your spouse lives in Canada.
