Wow Arezou jun very nice job on the chart! Thanks Also since the link for the chart changes every time you update it, I think it's a good idea if you put the link under your signature too. So we can always get access to the updated link by just finding one of your posts

On June 4th, I sent my application to sponsor my wife. On August 24th, I recieved an e-mail from CIC that said this: You have met the Federal requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing. In November, I called my federal deputy and I told them I need information about the processing of my case. They told me they were gonna contact Damascus and call me back. They called me back a couple of days later, and told me that I should have a response (Acceptal or Refusal of permanent residence) by June. I never called the embassy because I was told that If I call, it will take more time to process my file. (Unbelievable, I know, but that's what I read on the Canadian website) 6 Days ago, I called the Canadian Embassy in Syria and I was told that my file will be transferred to the Consent department and that my wife will receive a call within the week. Today, I just called the embassy in Syria, and I was told that they do not have my application and that it is probably in Mississauga. Can anybody tell me how is that is possible? This is unbelievable!

Maybe it is good to share ur situation with Sohrab, maybe he can help. Don't u worry, maybe the guy who picked up the phone today just wanted to getaway from answering ur questions.

Your MP was apparently able to get the status of your file from Mississauga, so I don't see how they can tell you that they "don't have it." Do you use your F/Bxxxxxxxxx file number when you communicate with Damascus? Mississauga doesn't get the file once it has approved sponsorship- once it does that, it is totally done and they wipe their hands of it because they've completed their part, which is to assess the sponsor. The visa office assesses the applicant.
