So visa officers can login online in Damascus and access medical files of a client in Paris (based on name or immigration file# or the serial# on the green slip) and get the results on line! They can do this right ?

hahahahaah arezou jan i tried, i was there for almost 3 months and i couldnt do anything, well i helped a bit but since they knew i was a "sponsor" they took me away from the REAL files

I am dong my medical tomorrow it has  been expired for a month now,I'm wondering if I should do the police check to, is it really needed? my husbands MP told him that the medical has to be redone but nothing about the police check and also I remember when I did it last year the man working there told me it was good for a month after I receive the results

no no its not logging in, they have access by getting in contact with the office in paris

haha i know its a funny situation,
but yeah my best advice would be to do it, because of iran's situation and all of the stuff thats going on now, the best thing would be to do it , EVEN if they dont want/need/ask for it

you've been waiting since july 2010? since you have passed the normal processing times have you tried sending case specific enquiries forms on their website instead of email? i'm not sure if it makes a difference or not actually.
also you might want to consider your wife contacting her local MP so he/she can enquire and maybe give a more detailed explanation of why it's taking that long.
or you can order caips notes and see what's going on.
we had another dear member here, kamal, who's file took about 20 months, but in his case i think the embassy lost a few documents and that's why it took long for him. so i definitely think you should figure out what's going on with your application.

it's all a waiting game! we were asked for some documents about 2 months ago too and i don't know if that meant we were in the initial review stage, in the middle of background check or maybe just a tiny step before the final stage, but all i cared about was omg it's so good to hear something from them even if its about missing documents! lol! patience is the key my friend, all we can do is wait
what is your timeline btw? when did your documents reach damascus?

thanks a lot for your suggest , but i did it. i mean , i tried a few E-mail by case specific enquiries  and so My wife has contacted her local MP and He said us.... ( Your application is in queue for an interview .. I understand that this situation is not easy but there is no way for an MP to expedite application and to get information on the date of the interview.
I called CIC and they only know that he is in a cue for the interview. Normally he will be contact via email. ) that's my story in this situation..

sohrab jan, i just skip the messages i don't like to read, try it! lol!
unfortunately we are all in a situation that a tiny little negativity can make us feel down for hours or even days. it's hard to stay positive and i don't want anything taking away my hope and happy feelings! i feel so sure that my hubby will be here with me for my birthday (a few days before norouz) and even if he doesn't get here by then i'm not gonna lose anything by feeling happy and hopeful about it! so i prefer to keep my hopes up!
we all know what we signed up for, no one forced us to apply for canadian permanent residency, but everything has a price, if i want to live in canada with my husband this is the price we pay (i'm not talking if 13 months is logical or not, but it is what it is)!!
