I wonder if anybody has tried to get a visitor's visa for his/her spouse.

Hope you will get your visas soon. Just be patient. Do not send many inquiries to Damascus. Just each two months. I am sure after 7-8 months after sending RQ form, you will get it.

Mohammad I think a few posts back someone mentionned something about his wife a visitor's visa. I don't think the delays are too long?

Do they normally give acknowledgment that your Residency Questionnaire has been received?
Because I never got one either..

Yesterday I did get this email from them (copy and pasted below)


Please be advised that we have received your sponsorship electronically; however, we have not yet received the physical file.  Once we receive the application we will send an acknowledgement of receipt letter to your sponsor and commence the processing of your application.

hanna they never sent us this e-mail. It just automatically showed on e-cas file processing one month after the approval from missisauga. The only e-mail I ever got from damascus is the one with the questionnaire . But how come they already sent you the questionnaire and haven't received your physical file yet?

So, will this prolong the process or is this normal?  I don't know what to do and now I am freaking out.  I don't want to contact them again at this time because I don't want to piss them off. What should I do?

hanna, my timeline and yours are very close, but I have never received any e-mail regarding to electronic or physical !!
have you received any letter from Damascus which shows your file # ?
